One of Jupiter’s all-time favorite artists, this latest creation by Bay Area jazz icon, trumpet-maestro, multi-instrumentalist and composer Clyde the Blynd, who fell in love with Reggae and Dub music while studying Jazz in Berklee College. CV dub (Clyde Version Dub) formed in 2005, with a mission to play traditional 60's and 70's era studio one-type rhythms while adding and removing parts (dubbing). This is done live on stage with jazz improvisations. Eventually CVDub gained notoriety in the bay, opening for significant acts like Lee Scratch Perry, Don Carlos, Michael Rose and Richie Spice. On the cusp of success - with an album being recorded and produced by Michael Urbano, Clyde suffered a massive stroke in 2013, which put the music on pause for 9 painful years. Now with Clyde healthy and strong again, the band reformed as CVDubX in '22, now incorporating a DJ and 2nd horn player, as they continue to dig deep into the DubJazz sound.
